Introduction
Wild Rabbit is a great idea. Don't be fooled by the location. It's a quaint second floor location near Upper Newport Bay. Irvine Farmer's Market is in the same complex.
On Wednesday and Saturday, Charlie can be heard churning out some mesmorizing saxophone. Add in lighting that brings a sense of warmth and serenity. You'll be delighted by a well-procured wine list.
Starters
Stuffed Mushrooms
Wow! This one is the perfect starter. They start by stuffing the mushrooms with crab meat,
followed by a good baking smothered in an herb-butter sauce.
Main Dishes
Rabbit Noir
I had to do it. I had never dared to try rabbit. But with a name like that, it was meant to be. Not to mention having a great Pinot Noir with dinner.
Rabbit strips cooked in a Pinot Noir sauce. The rabbit was not gamey at all. Thje Noir sauce wrapped the rabbit and held a heat in the dish. It tasted amazing for half of an hour. It was as good at the last bite.
Filet Mignon
Absolutely divine. It matched our Pinot Noir very nice. The preparation was exactly as ordered. Awesome.
Service
The service was nicely attentive. My wife and I were never left with an empty glass. Charlie would come by and ask what kind of songs you want to hear. Very classy!!
